Namaz Lock: Prayer Times ("we," "our," "us," "the App") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By creating an account or using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
Account information. When you sign up or sign in, we collect your name and email address. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive a unique identifier from that provider instead of a password. You may also be verified by a one-time code sent to your email.
Location data. With your permission, we collect your device's location to calculate accurate prayer times and Qibla direction for where you are. Location is used on-device and stored only as your last known coordinates to keep prayer times accurate between sessions; it is not used for advertising or shared with third parties.
App-locking (Screen Time) data. If you enable the app-locking/focus feature, you choose which apps to restrict using Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls) API or the Android equivalent. Your specific app selections are managed on-device by the operating system and are never transmitted to or stored on our servers — we only store whether the feature is turned on and how many apps you've selected.
Usage and spiritual-practice data. We store data needed to run the App's core features: your prayer window preferences, completed prayer/reading sessions, streaks, XP/level progress, Qur'an reading position (khatm progress) and any highlights or notes you save, and onboarding responses (such as stated intentions).
Push notification tokens. We store a device token (via Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can deliver prayer-time reminders and other notifications you've enabled.
Purchase information. Subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play and managed through RevenueCat. We receive your subscription status and entitlements, but we do not receive or store your payment card details.
Diagnostic and analytics data. We use Firebase Analytics to understand feature usage and app stability. This may include device type, app version, and general usage events. We do not use this data for third-party advertising.
We use the information above to:
We do not sell your personal information.
The App relies on the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:
We do not share your personal information with third parties except: (a) with the service providers listed above, solely to operate the App; (b) if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public; or (c) in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy continuing to apply.
We retain your account and usage data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to withdraw consent (e.g., for location access) at any time through your device settings. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below. You can also delete your account directly from the App's settings, which removes your stored account and usage data.
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures (such as password hashing and token-based authentication) to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We are based in the United States, and information is processed and stored there. By using the App, you consent to your information being transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.
All subscriptions and in-app purchases are billed and processed directly by Apple's App Store or Google Play, not by us — we do not have access to your payment details and cannot process payments or refunds ourselves.
All sales are final. Except where required by applicable law, we do not provide refunds, credits, or exchanges for: subscription fees already billed, partial subscription periods, unused features, or dissatisfaction with the App after purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; cancelling stops future billing but does not refund the current billing period.
If you believe you were charged in error or wish to request a refund, you must contact Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google Play (support.google.com/googleplay), as applicable, since they control and process the transaction. Where a jurisdiction's consumer protection law grants a non-waivable right to a refund or cooling-off period, that law governs to the extent it applies, notwithstanding this section.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and material changes will be highlighted in the App.
